AU - الفرحان، مبارك محمد حمد AB - هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى التعرف على مدى كفاءة المعلمين والمعلمات على اكتشاف الطلبة الموهوبين من خلال استخدام أسلوب تقدير السمات السلوكية كأسلوب من أساليب الكشف عن الطلبة الموهوبين . استخدم الباحث المنهج الوصفي التحليلي. يتكون مجتمع الدراسة من عدد (96) من معلمي ومعلمات المرحلة الابتدائية والمتوسطة وفق التخصصات التالية (رياضيات، علوم، لغة عربية). استخدم الباحث الاستبانة كأداة للدراسة وتكونت من (22) عبارة وفق بعد واحد حيث بلغت قيمة معامل الثبات الكلية (ألفا) (0.96) بعد أن تم عرضها على (2) محكمين من أهل الاختصاص والخبرة في مجال تربية الموهوبين. أهم نتائج الدراسة : أن معلمي ومعلمات المرحلة الإبتدائية والمتوسطة لديهم كفاءة بدرجة عالية في اكتشاف الطلاب الموهوبين من خلال استخدام أسلوب تقدير السمات السلوكية، وذلك يتمثل في: ملاحظتهم الطالب المتميز من قوة حفظه وذاكرته وسرعة استرجاعه للمعلومات داخل الحصة الدراسية، قدرتهم على تمييز الطالب الذي يتميز بقدرته على عقد المقارنات لاكتشاف العلاقات بين الأشياء ضمن مواضيع المقرر الذي يقومون بتدرسيه، ملاحظتهم للطالب المتميز من خلال انجذابه واهتمامه بالمقرر وقوة تركيزه وطول انتباهه أثناء الشرح داخل الحصة الدراسية. The researcher used the descriptive analytical method. The study population consists of (96) primary and middle school teachers according to the following majors (mathematics, science, Arabic language). The researcher used the questionnaire as a tool for the study and it consisted of (22) statements according to one dimension, where the value of the overall stability coefficient (alpha) was (0.96) after it was presented to (2) arbitrators who are experts in the field of gifted education. The most important results of the study: that primary and middle school teachers have a high degree of competence in discovering gifted students through the use of behavioral traits assessment method, which is represented in: their observation of the distinguished student from the strength of his memorization and memory and the speed of retrieval of information within the class, their ability to distinguish the student who is distinguished His ability to make comparisons to discover the relationships between things within the subjects of the course that they teach, their observation of the distinguished student through his attraction and interest in the course and his strength of focus and long attention during the explanation within the class.
