AU - التركي، أشواق حمزة AB - The current study aims at investigating the effectiveness of using the advance organizers on first secondary school student's achievement in Biology subject in Al-Medina Al-Munawarah in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and that including cognitive levels (remembering, understanding and practicing). And to realize this aim the researcher has asked the following main question: What is the effectiveness of using developing organizer on first secondary student's achievement towards Biology subject? And to compare the achievement level on both groups: experimental and controlling group; the researcher prepare an achieving test one type of (select from various), this test measures the students' achievement in cognitive levels (remembering, understanding and practicing) the test contain 25pragraph and after verifying of test validity it was applied on the study sample. Also the researcher prepare a measure consist of (35) paragraph, to measure both the experimental and controlling towards biology subject, and it has been verified of the measure validity and consistency before applying it on the study sample. The experimental group study the content of two terms (nutrition, Human circulating system) by using the designated model according to advance organizer, the model consist of (11) educational plans, each educational plan contain one advanced organizer, and a pyramidal system for the lesson topic. In addition to prepare a pyramidal map for both digestive and circulating system, while the control group studied by the normal way. After finishing the lesson to both groups, the and following results was achieved: There are significant statistical differences at (a=0.001) level in the subsequent test in both (nutrition and human circulating system) terms, between the mean students marks for the controlling group and the mean mark of the controlling group, on the (remember and practice and understanding) level in favor of the experimental group (whom were study by the advanced organizer) There are significant statistical differences at (a=0.05) level in direction of biology between student's marks average for the controlling group in favor to experimental groups (whom were studied by the advance organizer). Based on the results, the researcher suggested to make more studies about the subject, and she attain to many recommendations concern the advance organizer method while preparing methods and training teachers to prepare and execute it.
