AB - This study has sought to identify the degree of elementary stage female teachers awareness about the nature, forms and negative impacts on both the female bully and the female victim, as well the roles of female teachers in preventing bullying The study has also sought to identify the state of measures and procedures followed to prevent bullying in government school from their point of view. Achievement of the study objectives entailed the use of a questionnaire that was distributed to a cluster sample of elementary stage female teachers in government Schools that totaled764 female teachers. The sample responses retrieved were 597 responses. The findings revealed a great to a very great degree of awareness demonstrated by female teachers regarding the nature, forms and negative impacts of bullying on both the female bully and female victim, as well as their roles in preventing it in the school. The findings also revealed the use of traditional way of the procedures followed for preventing bullying in government elementary schools. The study recommended the training of female teachers on some international programs and strategies that proved to be effective and feasible in reducing and preventing school bullying. It also recommended the implementation of (Olweus Bullying prevention Program). Furthermore, the study presented some proposals. (Published abstract)
