AB - The aim of this studying is to identify the attitudes of the Arabic language teachers towards the evaluation of the high primary stage in Hebron Province. To achieve the objectives of this study, the researcher adopted the descriptive approach. This study was applied in the second semester of the academic year (2018/2019), It consisted of (207) teachers, applied upon a random sample. The study showed that the attitudes of the Arabic language teachers towards the qualitative evaluation of the high primary stage was high. The study also showed the existence of statistical significance in the arithmetical averages of the basic attitudes of the Arabic language teachers towards the qualitative evaluation of the primary stage in Hebron governorate due to changes in the specialization of the teaching methods, the scientific qualification and the higher studies. It also showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the arithmetical averages of the attitudes of the Arabic language teachers towards the qualitative evaluation of the basic primary stage in Hebron governorate due to gender variable, years of experience, and administration. In the light of these results, the researcher recommended using qualitative assessment in the teaching of Arabic language, training Arabic language teachers on using of qualitative assessment in teaching grammar and morphology, and holding workshop that focus on qualitative evaluation for teachers of Arabic language specialized in Arabic literature.
