AU - حسين، باسل علي AB - This study aimed to clarify the pedagogical content knowledge of science teachers in basic education and the impact of academic and educational certification on employing it in their teaching. To achieve these objectives, the study tried to answer the following questions: What is the degree of basic stage science teacher's application of the pedagogical content knowledge? How do PCK of basic stage science teacher's application of the pedagogical content knowledge differs according to their certification? The study sample consisted of (30) science teachers who were selected randomly, then they were classified into: academically qualified teachers and academically and educationally qualified teachers. In collecting data for the study, the observation method was applied to the study sample members to analyze their teaching behaviors. The results have shown weakness in the pedagogical content knowledge of science teachers of the basic stage of education at the implementation levels. The results from attending science classes for those teachers have shown a low level of application of the pedagogical content knowledge of science teachers, whether they were academically qualified, or academically and educationally qualified. And at the end of the study, the researcher presented a set of recommendations, Develop training programs for teachers to familiarize them with pedagogical content knowledge they have. Training teachers educationally before they are appointed in the Ministry of Education to include rehabilitation programs introduce the concept of pedagogical content knowledge.
