AB - The present study aimed at investigating the effect of using the multiple intelligences theory applications of strategies, activities, and instructional media in teaching social studies on developing the historical sense dimensions and attitude among the second-grade prep stage pupils. A valid and reliable multiple intelligences survey scale was administered to the study sample. The results showed that the higher rate was for the spatial intelligence, linguistic intelligence, social inter person .intelligence, bodily in esthetic intelligence, and logical mathematical intelligence. Therefore, these intelligences were focused on in the present study. The historical sense dimensions were identified. A social-studies teacher manual was developed according to the selected instructional unit from the social studies curriculum. Three study tools were developed: the historical sense dimensions list, the historical situations test, and the scale of attitude towards social studies. The study sample was divided into two groups: control and experimental. The selected instructional unit from the social studies curriculum was taught to the experimental group according to the multiple intelligences theory applications. The study results showed that the use of multiple intelligences theory appl. sakr reda: applications had a positive effect on developing the historical sense dimensions and attitude towards social studies.
