AB - This study aimed to investigate the impact of the Bybee constructivist learning model on the academic achievement of high school students to acquire Islamic education concepts. In this study, two groups were formed, the experimental group with 34 students that was taught according to Bybee model and the control group with 38 students that was taught according to the traditional teaching method. The sample of the study composed of 72 female students from one public school in Al-Zarqa educational district chosen through purposive sampling techniques for the first secondary level for the scientific and information management cores. The target educational materials in this study were two units of instruction from the books of Islamic education for the first level of secondary scientific and management information cores. Descriptive statistics including means and standard deviations and t-test statistic were used to analyze the results of the study. The study findings showed significant statistical differences between the two groups under study for the favor of the experimental group. The study ended by offering a number of recommendations for the field of study including designing instructional materials according to Bybee constructivist learning.
