AB - يهدف البحث إلى التعرف على أثر استخدام الصحف الرقمية على تنمية مهارات استخدام المصادر التاريخية والوعي بالأحداث الجارية في تدريس التاريخ. ولتحقيق هدف البحث تم إعداد اختبار مهارات استخدام المصادر التاريخية ومقياس للوعي بالأحداث الجارية، تم تطبيقهما على عينة البحث التي تكونت من 60 طالبة من طالبات الصف الأول الثانوي بإدارة غرب طنطا التعليمية بمحافظة الغربية، قسّمت العينة إلى مجموعتين: مجموعة تجريبية وعددها 30 طالبة؛ ومجموعة ضابطة وعددها 30 طالبة، وكشف البحث عن النتائج الآتية: وجود فرق دال إحصائيا عند مستوى 0.05≥ بين متوسطي درجات طلاب المجموعة التجريبية والضابطة في التطبيق البعدي لاختبار مهارات استخدام المصادر التاريخية ككل وكل مهارة على حدة، لصالح المجموعة التجريبية؛ وكذلك وجود فرق دال إحصائيا عند مستوى 0.05≥ بين متوسطي درجات طلاب المجموعة التجريبية والضابطة في التطبيق البعدي لمقياس الوعي بالأحداث الجارية، لصالح المجموعة التجريبية؛ ووجود علاقة ارتباطية غير دالة إحصائيا عند مستوى 0.05≥ بين درجات طلاب المجموعة التجريبية في التطبيق البعدي لاختبار مهارات استخدام المصادر التاريخية، ومقياس الوعي بالأحداث الجارية. وخلص البحث إلى مجموعة من التوصيات المقترحات في ضوء هذه النتائج.
