AB - Many students have a clear weakness in the performance of sports movements, and to solve this problem, the researcher hypothesized that psychological hesitation is one of the causes of this weakness, which is one of the important aspects that face the students and affect their lives both personal and sports, and with modern scientific progress in teaching Physical education and sports science, which was based on the continuous research for a new, varied and effective way in the process of psychological preparation of the student for the performance of sports movements with a high degree of accuracy and readiness has become necessary to teachers have to recognize the importance of the need for this change in the methods of teaching practical materials in the college, and through the lack of modern means to eliminate the psychological hesitation, the researcher prepared a program based on mental maps to reduce the psychological hesitation of students. The research objective are to identify the psychological hesitation of students in the first stage in the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences- University of Babylon for the academic year (2015-2016), preparing of a mentoring program based on mental maps to reduce the psychological hesitation of students in the first stage the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences- University of Babylon for the academic year (2015-2016). The researcher used the experimental approach to suit the research problem. The research community identified the students of the first stage of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences- Babel University for the academic year (2015-2016), totaling (94) students, divided into three sections (57.44%). The researcher concluded that psychological mentoring program in reducing the psychological hesitation of students in the first stage in the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences- University of Babylon.
