AB - The study aimed to identify the role of Shaqra University in promoting social responsibility to its students and to identify the indications of differences in this role according to gender, academic year and academic achievement variables. The study used descriptive method, and the sample of the study consisted of [254] students, who were selected by simple random sampling method. The study also used a questionnaire for identifying the social responsibility that is prepared by the researcher and consisting of [43] phrases spread over six fields: supporting of justice and freedom, social support for students, social support for graduate students, educational assistance and scholarships, social support for handicapped people, and supporting local community. The results showed that the role of Shaqra University in promoting social responsibility to students was with a moderate degree and an average of [3.511]. And the top role of Shaqra University in promoting social responsibility to students came in the field of " Social Support for Students " with an average of [3.811] and a great degree. Then, the field of " Educational Assistance and Scholarships ". Next, the field of " Social Support for Graduate Students ". Finally, the field of " Supporting of Justice and Freedom ". The results also showed that the lack of statistically significance differences [0.05=α] with the role of Shaqra University in promoting social responsibility is referred to gender and academic year variables and the interaction between the variables of the study. As well as the availability of statistically significance differences is referred to academic achievement variable in favor of students who had excellent average. According to the results, the study recommended that Shaqra University should make and organize programs for guiding students to undertake their social responsibilities.
