AB - This study aimed at constructing a solving- problem skills checklist which should be among kindergarten children and constructing a proposed program based on early developmental learning standards for developing problem solving skills among those children. The study also aimed at studying the effectiveness of the proposed program in developing problems - solving skills among kindergarten children in Asir region. The quasi-method with one group design was utilized. Pre-post testing was also administered. The sample of the study consisted of (31) male and female children in a kindergarten in Abha city. The study showed that there was a statistically significant difference at (0.05) level between the mean scores of kindergarten children in the pre - post administration of the overall problem- solving skills test and its sub- skills (identifying the problem, suggesting solutions, experimenting the solutions and testing its validity, choosing the suitable solution and evaluating it) favoring the post testing.
