AU - العثمان، ناصر بن عثمان بن راشد AB - The study aims at analyzing the content of the Social and National Studies Textbook for the Third Intermediate Grade in Saudi Arabia in the light of ethical thinking skills. To achieve the study objectives; the researcher used the descriptive approach based on content analysis so that the subject or idea is adopted as a unit of analysis, and ethical thinking skills are used as a class analysis. The list consisted of 18 paragraphs and the study is applied on the Social and National Studies Textbook for the Third Intermediate Grade. One of the most important results of the study was that (Ethical sensitivity) ranked first among skills by 38.37%. Then, the (Ethical inductive skills) came second by 22.29%. The skill (Moral selection) came third with 22.09%. Whereas, the skill (Ethical judgment) ranked fourth among all ethical thinking skills by 17.15%. The researcher recommends the need to pay attention toward the skills of ethical thinking in the Social and National Studies Textbooks for the Third Intermediate Grade, and also embedding the contents of the Social and National Studies Books with all different ethical thinking skills in a balanced manner, as well as, embedding its contents with forms of ethical educational attitudes, and variable activities that develop ethical thinking skills in the field of “Ethical judgment”.
