AU - علي، هدى فضل الله AB - The aim of this current research was to reveal the psychological needs of deaf and hard of hearing students in the Tabuk region, in light of some variables, such as sex, education of father and mother, school, grade type, and academic level. The students from the deaf and hard of hearing community were randomly selected for the research and consisted of both boys and girls. The size of the sample totaled 55 pupils at the primary, intermediate and secondary levels. The research sample was divided into groups of 15 males and 40 female students. The research tool used was the psychometric needs scale for the deaf and hearing impaired, prepared by Al Jawhari (2006), and adjusted by the researcher. Most of the research focused on the psychological needs of the students involved. The results showed that there were no statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05≥ α) between the mean scores of these deaf and hard of hearing students in the psychological areas of communication and emotional, and the scale as a whole, but there were significant differences at the level of (0.05≥ α) between the mean scores of students in the psychological needs in two dimensions (social-rehabilitative and educational). In addition, there are no differences in the psychological needs of the sample whatever the gender (male / female), or type of school (Hope Institute or School merged).
