AU - الشعيبي، حصة سعد AB - The nineties of the past Century witnessed a new twist to an easy way for all mankind on earth to reach a rapprochement and exchange of knowledge. It was the appearance of electronic personal websites and blogs, portals, chat rooms and social networking. This study aims to know the extent of the impact of social networking sites on the audience of university students and the role of social service in the light of the cognitive model. Hence, the researcher has designed a questionnaire to measure the adverse social effects on the University students’ achievements and the role of social work in confronting that through the social worker at the university. The study has reached a number of adverse effects results confirm the grades and the social side aspect of the University students. It also reached a set of proposals and recommendations for a proposed activation and visualization to address them in the light of the cognitive model.
