AB - This study aims to explore the relationship between the motivation of academic achievement and the anxiety of professional future on a sample of special education students in Majmaah University. This study also explores the differences between these two variables in terms of participants’ gender, GPA and specialty (Intellectual Disability or Autism). The sample of the study consists of 114 students, 57 male and 57 female, from the Department of Special Education in Majmaah University, studying from level five to eight. The study implements the scale of motivation of academic achievement in terms of its three dimensions (psychological, social and educational) and the scale of anxiety of professional future for data collection. The results reveal inverse correlation between the motivation of academic achievement and the anxiety of professional future. It also discloses statistical significant differences in the variable of motivation of academic achievement in relation to participants’ gender in favor for female participant students. Similarly, the study's outcomes also indicate statistical significant differences in the variable of anxiety of professional future in relation to gender in favor for male participant students together with statistical differences in both variables in relation to participant students’ GPA in favor for higher GPAs. However, no influence in the two variables of the study were found in relation to students’ specialty (Intellectual Disability and Autism).
