AB - The aim of the research was to identify the effectiveness of the dramatic approach in the achievement of the home economy and the development of some social skills and positive thinking. The research sample consisted of a group of first grade students in Al- Gharbyia governorate. The experimental method was used, where they were divided into two groups, one of which is experimental, which is taught using the drama approach and another is control group( taught using the traditional method).The research tools (achievement test, social skills test, positive thinking scale) were prepared by the researchers as measurement tools to validate the following hypotheses: 1) There is a statistically significant difference between the average scores of the experimental group and the control group in the post-administration of the achievement test as a whole and its sub-levels, in favor of the experimental group. 2) There is a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the experimental group and the control group in the post-administration to test the overall social skills and sub-skills for the benefit of the experimental group students. 3) There is a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the experimental group and the control group in the post-administration of the positive thinking scale, in favor of the experimental group students. The study revealed the effectiveness of the dramatic approach in the achievement of the home economy and the development of some social skills and positive thinking among the first grade pupils.
