AU - عمر، عبد المنعم علي علي AB - This study aimed at developing communication and some emotional features among a sample of autistic children through preparing a training program based upon joint attention, investigating the effect of this program in developing communication and the emotional features among the autistic children, and investigating the continuity of the program's effect after the follow-up period. The participants were ten autistic children enrolled in an association for people with special needs in Hadaek Al Ahram, Giza Governorate, their ages were between five and seven years, their intelligence was between 58 and 78, answered fourteen items of Autistic Child Scale, and were divided into two groups: experimental (five children) and control (five children).The study utilized Stanford-Benet Intelligence Scale: Fourth Edition (modified by Luis Kamel Maleka, 1998), Autistic Child Scale (prepared by Adel Abdullah, 2005), Autistic Child's Communication and Emotional Features Checklist (Prepared by the researcher), and the Proposed Training Program (Prepared by the researcher ).The study revealed that there were statistically significant differences at (0.05) level between the mean scores of the students of the experimental group in the pre and post tests of Autistic Child's Communication and Emotional Features Checklist. In addition, there were statistically significant differences at (0.05) level between the means scores of the students of the experimental groupand those of the control group in the post-test of Autistic Child's Communication and Emotional Appearances Checklist. Also, the results revealed that there were no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the students of the experimental group in the post and follow-up tests of Autistic Child's Communication and Emotional features Checklist.
