AB - This study aimed at measuring the effectiveness of a suggested training program of developing reasoning thinking in female teachers of geography in the secondary stage in the city of Riyadh. The researcher used the quasi-experimental approach. She put a note card to measure the effectiveness of the training program before and after presenting it to the trainees. She also put a self-evaluation measure to decide the effectiveness of developing reasoning thinking skills in the training program as seen by teachers (sample of the study). The sample of the study consisted of (30) teachers. They passed the suggested training course. Results of the study showed that there are differences of statistical significance between averages of before and after the application of note card and self-evaluation for the benefit of the after application. So, the study recommended the necessity of rethinking in programs of training teachers before and during service, and adding new styles of training on thinking as a whole and reasoning thinking in particular.
