AB - The research aims to recognize: the Academic self-efficiency for secondary stage students in Baghdad governate in addition to recognize different indication in academic self-efficiency for second stage students in Baghdad governate according to gender and studying specialty variables. The researcher embraced academic self –efficiency gauge which was set by (own & formen 1988) Translated by (Al-bdrain & Ghaith 2013) which involves (33) item. After checking the gauge characteristic which was applied on a specimen of 100 students (males & females) form the secondary stage (karkh 1stresafa 1st education directorates). After processing the data statically obtained the following results secondary stage students from the specimen have academic efficiency in addition there was statistical difference in academic self – efficiency according to gender variables and the was in favor of females while there was no statistical difference in academic self – efficiency according to the studying specialty.
