AU - مطر، لبنى فضل AB - This research aims to study the reality of school libraries in the schools of basic education in the city of tenderness in Syria, and uncover the strengths and weaknesses in the library and to develop proposals that will activate the role of the school library. The researcher adopted a descriptive approach to the analytical study of this reality and has prepared two questionnaires as tools of research and identification of the pupils drew a 15-item questionnaire for teachers were made up of 6 open-ended questions. And to see how they use and inform them of the library. The research sample is a random sample of students of 200 students and a random sample of teachers numbering 100 teachers.
