AB - This study aimed to recognize level of self-determination skills that students with visual impairment have, in comparison with their sighted peers in the government schools of Jordan. The study sample consisted of 98 male and female students, 48 of them were with visual impairment (19 female and 29 male), 31 students with blind, and 17 students with low vision, 50 students with sighted students, (24 male and 26 female). To achieve the purpose of the study, researchers developed a scale to measures the level of self-determination skills that students have, it consisted of 32 items, it was validated and reliabilities. The results indicated that the total score on the scale of self-determination was medium with mean (2.59 of 4.00) it is also showed that there were no statistically significant differences on the variables of sex and the severity of the disability on self-determination skills.
