AB - The current study aims to evaluate the upgraded Arabic language textbooks in the primary stage from Arabic language teachers’ point of view. For this purpose, a questionnaire was applied to underpin the main objective of the study. The questionnaire was divided into seven sections: course objectives, syllabus, textbook presentation, content of the textbook, exercises, and assessment procedures. The researcher made use of percentages, standard deviations, and averages, which were calculated based on the participants’ responses. A t-test and a multivariate–test for measuring the difference in averages were also used. The results of the study indicated that the course objectives are related to the general educational objectives in the primary stage in Kuwait. In relation to the study plan element, the results showed that the study plan is suitable for the teachers’ level. In addition, the results indicated that the content of the textbook and the exercises helped in enriching the lessons with new terminologies. When it comes to the textbook presentation, the results revealed that the textbook papers were of high quality. Finally, the results of the study indicated that there is a variation in the assessment procedures used by the teachers.(Published Abstract) http://search.shamaa.org/abstract_en.gif
