AB - This study had been occurred on a principal sample composed of (575) female students of the scientific section from the 2nd level in faculty of education Menoufia university, through the 1st term of the academic year 2015/16, the main aim of this study was discovering which mind habits can be predictive factors for the lateral thinking, this study depended on two tools: one for habits of mind agreed with costa & Kallick model, the other for lateral thinking agreed with de bono theory, the two tools had been used with pre-sample composed of (134) female students through the 2nd term of the academic year 2013/14, the data was extracted buy SPSS program with many statistical styles like Pearson correlations, Anova, multiple linear regression analysis, Cannonical correlation analysis, the results referred to that there are eight habits of mind can be predictive factors for lateral thinking and two predictive equations was extracted, and also the percent of combined contribution was extracted for these eight mind habits in the lateral thinking, so some educational recommendations and searching points had been submitted.
