AU - عبد الله، محمد قاسم. AB - Image culture is one of the most important issues in current age that has received research interests in foreign countries, but not in Arab word. There are many issues related to image culture and visual picture in childhood that need further research and study. Accordingly, this study aimed to shed lights on image and visual culture in terms of definition, characteristics, positive and negative effects, and related issues such as child perception of image and its role in cognitive development and personality. The study also shed some light on the issue of culture and image books, relationship to child’s, aesthetic response and the psychological effects of color’s images on children and their power of persuasion. The study concluded that the image culture is parallel to culture itself, and therefore, it is regarded as an essential instrument in educational technology, media and social communication.
