AU - صارة، حمري. AU - بوقصارة، منصور AB - This study aims at knowing the relationship between stress and academic motivation among Preparatory Schools students at Oran. It also aims at identifying whether there are statistically significant differences on the stress and academic motivation due to the following variables: gender, specialization. The researchers have applied the perceived stress scale of (Cohen, & al), academic motivation scale of (Vallerand, & al), upon a sample of (346) male and female students. After analyzing the data using the statistical packages for social sciences program (SPSS, version 20), the study revealed the following findings: 1) There is negative statistically significant correlation between the stress and the academic motivation. 2) There are statistically significant gender differences regarding the level of stress in favor of females. 3) There are statistically significant gender differences regarding the level of academic motivation in favor of males. 4) There are statistically significant differences regarding the level of stress according to specialization variable in favor of science commercial and economic specialization. 5) There are no statistically significant differences regarding the level of academic motivation according to specialization variable.
