AB - Every student who wishes to attend International Islamic University Malaysia must sit for the exam in Arabic language. Since 1983, the Quranic Language Division adopted the language exam. In the first semester of the year 2012/2013 every student started the test; he has to sit at the end of the semester a second time, and as a result, he could jump from level I to III or IV, level II to IV or v or vi; or it can override the Arabic language centre, joining his faculty. It is noted that some students have fear of the test; some complained; and others who could pass the level will go to another level. For all these reasons the researchers thought in this study, to see how suitable are aptitude tests for students of different levels. The members of the community of the study are language Center students, at the international Islamic University Malaysia (second semester of 2012/2013); The study selected a random sample of one hundred and seventy-three students from the research community representatives. The researcher used interviews with some of the students. The research also completed observation of the teachers. The most important of this study indicated is use two levels of the exam to challenge higher groups. The students also prefer to have instructions in (Arabic and English). The finding of the study shows perhaps to change the exam format to include charts. The results of the study may help the language centre to adopt new procedures for advancement of students.(Pubished Abstract) http://search.shamaa.org/abstract_en.gif
