AB - The aim of the study is to determine the level of psychological anxiety among parents of middle school students in Jeddah after their children return to school after the Corona pandemic. The study has entailed a random sample of (165) parents, and adopted mixed methods through explanatory sequential design. In addition, a scale to measure such psychological anxiety has been designed and used by the researcher. The study has reached numerous results; most notably that the level of psychological anxiety among parents was moderate. Furthermore, the study has demonstrated the absence of statistically significant differences related to the parents (variable), which means that the level of psychological anxiety of fathers and mothers is equal. The study also found that such psychological anxiety is caused by different factors. While the high-level psychological anxiety of the parents has negative effect on the children's psychological state, it has positive effects on their behaviors. On the other side, parents have taken various measures to alleviate their anxiety and protect their children. Based on these findings, the researcher has provided several recommendations, including but not limited to raising the awareness of students at all academic levels, from kindergarten to college, about the importance of adhering to precautionary measures to protect themselves from infection even after the pandemic.
