AU - هلايلي، ياسمينة AU - بعيبع، نادية AB - هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى التحقق من مدى فعالية برنامج تدريبي صمم على أساس علمي يقوم على مجموعة من المهارات في المجالات التالية: "المجال المعرفي، المجال العقلي، المجال الاقتصادي، إرتقاء اللغة، النمو الجسمي، الاعتناء بالنفس، في مجال الطعام وأخيرًا في مجال الأعمال المنزلية"، في تحسين السلوك لدى عينة من المتخلفين عقليًا، تألفت من 20 متخلفًا. وقد تم اختيار المنهج التجريبي العينة تم تقسيمها إلى مجموعتين متساويتين في العدد، إحداهما تجريبية تم تطبيق البرنامج التدريبي عليها والأخرى ضابطة لم تتعرض لأي إجراء تجريبي وقد تراوحت أعمارهم بين 10-14 سنة، ونسب ذكائهم بين 63-70 التي تم ضبطها بواسطة اختبار كولوميا للذكاء، وتم تقديم البرنامج التدريبي المستخدم الذي أعدته الباحثة، وقياس نمو سلوك المتخلفين عقليا وذلك باستخدام مقياس تقدير نمو سلوكهم من إعداد الباحثة، وكشفت الدراسة عن النتائج التالية: 1) توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطات درجات أفراد المجموعة التجريبية قبل تطبيق البرنامج ومتوسطات درجات أفراد نفس المجموعة بعد التطبيق في مقياس تقدير نمو سلوك المتخلفين عقليا لصالح القياس البعدي. 2) لا توجد فروق دالة إحصائيا بين متوسطات درجات أفراد المجموعة الضابطة قبل تطبيق البرنامج، ومتوسطات درجات أفراد نفس المجموعة بعد التطبيق في مقياس تقدير نمو سلوك المتخلفين عقليا. 3) توجد فروق دالة إحصائيا بين متوسطات درجات أفراد المجموعة التجريبية بعد تطبيق البرنامج ومتوسطات درجات أفراد المجموعة الضابطة بعد تطبيق البرنامج في مقياس تقدير نمو سلوك المتخلفين عقليا. 4) لا توجد فروق دالة إحصائيا بين متوسطات درجات أفراد المجموعة التجريبية بعد تطبيق البرنامج ومتوسطات درجات أفراد نفس المجموعة بعد مرور 3 أشهر من المتابعة في مقياس تقدير نمو سلوك المتخلفين عقليا. وفي نهاية البحث قدمت مجموعة من التوصيات والاقتراحات تنص في مجملها على ضرورة الاهتمام والعناية بفئة المتخلفين عقليًا.
