AB - هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى الكشف عن مستويات الثقة بالنفس وعلاقتها بالنمو الاجتماعي لدى عينة تكونت من (326) طالباً وطالبة تم اختيارهم عشوائياً من المدارس الثانوية في مديرية تربية لواء بني كنانة بالأردن في الفصل الدراسي الأول من العام الدراسي 2012/ 2013. لتحقيق أهداف الدراسة تم تطوير مقياسين هما: الثقة بالنفس، والنمو الاجتماعي، وقد تم التحقق من صدقهما وثباتهما. وقد أشارت نتائج المتوسطات الحسابية والانحرافات المعيارية إلى أنَّ الدرجة الكلية للثقة بالنفس والنمو الاجتماعي لدى عينة من طلبة المرحلة الثانوية في مديرية لواء بني كنانة بالأردن جاءت متوسطة، كما أشارت نتائج معامل ارتباط بيرسون إلى وجود علاقة إيجابية دالة إحصائياً بين مستوى الثقة بالنفس ومستوى النمو الاجتماعي لدى عينة الدراسة. وفي ضوء النتائج تم التوصية بمجموعة من التوصيات كان من أهمها ضرورة تعاون الجهات الرسمية الحكومية والخاصة ووسائل الإعلام؛ لتعزيز مفاهيم الصحة النفسية لدى طلبة المرحلة الثانوية. (الملخص المنشور) http://search.shamaa.org/abstract_ar.gif AB - The purpose of this study was to investigate levels of self-confidence among secondary school students at Bani Kenana Educational Directorate and its relationship with social growth in the 1st semester of the school year 2012/2013. To achieve the purpose of the study, the researcher developed two measures: the first is to assess self-confidence level and the other is to assess social growth. Reliability and validity were established for both instruments. Means and standard deviations results indicated that the total score for self-confidence and social growth among secondary school students in Bani Kenana Educational Directorate was moderate. Pearson coefficient values indicated a significant correlation between self-confidence and social growth among study sample. In light of these results, the study recommended the need for cooperation between public and private organizations in addition to mass media to promote the concept of psychological well-being among secondary schools students. There is also a need to emphasize the formulation of social and psychological structure in adolescence.
