A1 المعمري، ألطاف محمد عبد الله AB The study aimed at identifying the obstacles of using the laboratory in teaching Physics from the point of view of Physics teachers of the secondary stage schools of Al-Nadira district in Ibb governorate. To achieve the aim of the study, the descriptive analytic approach was followed questionnaire consisting of (30) items distributed on five fields were used. It was applied on a sample consisting of (23) Physics teachers of the secondary schools. After collecting the data, the results showed that the level of availability of obstacles to using the physics laboratory was (agree) with a general average of (3.8). The field of tools and devices got the first rank with an average (4). The field of physics and the school program ranked second, with an average of (3.9). The field of laboratories ranked third, with an average of (3.8). The field of teacher and laboratory values ranked fourth, with an average of (3.6), while the field of students got the fifth and last rank with an average of (3.5). There were statistically significant differences between the averages of the obstacles of using the laboratory in teaching physics due to the gender variable and in favor of females in the first field, and there were no statistically significant differences between the averages of male and female teachers in the other fields. There were no statistically significant differences between the average of the opinions of male and female teachers in all fields ascribed to the years of experience. The researcher suggested carrying out studies to remedy the capabilities of operating laboratories and enhancing the performance of teachers in schools.
