A1 جابر، منة الله عبد المنطلب A2 قاسم، رانيا محمد علي A2 الصاوي، رغدة أحمد حلمي AB The aim of the research was to verify the effectiveness of the program based on Montessori activities to reduce speech and speech disorders among educable mentally retarded children who are able to learn, and the study sample consisted of (7) children (4) males and (3) females of the mentally handicapped who are able to learn in the School of Intellectual Education in Fayoum Governorate, who Their intelligence ranges between (50-70) on the IQ scale (Stanford Binet) and the chronological age ranges from (9-11), and the study tools were the Speech and Speech Disorders Scale and a program based on Montessori activities, and the study found the effectiveness of the program to reduce speech and speech disorders For the mentally disabled who are able to learn. The results reached: 1) There are statistically significant differences between the average ranks of the research sample scores in the pre and post application of the Speech and Speech Disorder Scale. 2) The results showed that there were statistically significant differences between males and females in the post application of the Scale of Speech and Speech Disorders in favor of females.
