A1 الجهني، أمل صالح عيد AB The study aimed to identify the role of educational leaders in facing modern challenges and changes in light of the Covid-19 pandemic. To achieve the goals of the study, the researcher used the descriptive analytical approach, the questionnaire was used as a tool to collect information, it consisted of (25) paragraphs distributed on three variables: namely (the cognitive role, the administrative role, the technical role, and the supervisory role). The researcher checked the validity and reliability of the study tool, the study sample was chosen randomly, which consisted of (100) educational leaders in the Jeddah department. The results of the study showed that the arithmetic average for the cognitive role variable was very high, which got "4.33", and the results of the study showed that there were no statistically significant differences in all variables of study according to the sex, age, and academic qualification variables, it also showed that there are no statistically significant differences in all fields of study according to the years of experience variable in the second, third and fifth variables, while it showed that there are statistically significant differences for the “cognitive role” and “supervisory role” variable in favor of the “more than 10 years” variable. The study recommended the necessity of strengthening administrative leaderships for psychological safety so that everyone can discuss ideas and questions without fear of repercussions, and the need for administrative leaderships to enhance the strength of communication between work teams in order to confront the Covid-19 pandemic.
