A1 القحطاني، عثمان علي AB The main objective of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of reflective teaching strategies in the development of spatial sense skills among fifth grade students. The study was based on the semi-experimental method, design (pre-post) to achieve the objectives of the study. The mathematics teaching guide of the geometric shapes unit was constructed in the second semester in the fifth grade. The test of spatial sense skills was prepared include (32) items related to mental perception, geometric reasoning, geometric formation, and estimating & calculating of measurements). Also, the validity and reliability of the test were calculated. The study sample consisted of two randomly selected groups from primary school at Tabuk city, the first experimental group (n = 57), and the second control group (53). The results of the study showed: there are statistically significant differences at (0,01) between the mean scores of the experimental and control groups in the post-test of spatial sense skills in general, and each skill separately in favor of the experimental group students. The recommended was setting related to developing training the teachers of mathematics on the use of reflective teaching strategies in teaching geometry to develop spatial sense skills.
