A1 النرش، هشام إبراهيم إسماعيل AB The present study aimed at exploring the effect of using thinking styles training on developing academic studying and achievement skills of a sample contained (48) second grade preparatory stage students who had achieved low scores in the thinking styles scale. The sample of the study was divided into two groups; experimental group contained (25) students (male/ female), and control group contained (23) students (male/ female). Both the experimental and control groups' scores were equivalent in the pre assessment of the instruments of the study. The researcher has implemented the thinking styles scale prepared by Harrison & Bramson, (1982) - Translated by (Magdy Hbib, 1996), studying skills scale (prepared by the researcher), and a training program based on the thinking styles (prepared by the researcher). The results of the study revealed that using the thinking styles has a significant and continuous effect on developing and improving the academic studying and achievement skills of preparatory stage students.
