A1 محمود، نيفين محمد محمد AB In coping with the latest educational trends in the teaching of Geography that which necessitates helping the student to be a positive participant in the educational process, this research aims at investigating the effectiveness of using the advanced organizers in teaching Geographical thinking skills and academic achievement of the first year preparatory school students. The researcher of the current research employed the analytical descriptive method to develop a Geographical thinking skills checklist and designing an achievement Geography test for the Social Studies subject. Moreover, the quasi experimental method was employed to investigate the effectiveness of teaching through the advanced organizers in developing Geographical thinking and academic achievement of the sample of the study.
