A1 العبد الكريم، راشد بن حسين A2 حجر، آمنة بنت عبد الله بن محمد AB The purpose of this study was to explore the effect of teaching with web quest on the university students’ critical thinking at King Saud University. To achieve study’s objectives, the researcher has designed the web quest, which discussed four topics: (old teaching methods, modern, educational activities and instructional materials) quasi-experimental method was used. “California for critical thinking skills”, test was used to assess the students critical thinking. Two groups of female students at King Saud University in the second semester of the academic year 1431-1432 ah in Riyadh city were chosen for the experiment. These two sections were randomly selected; one of them was as a control group contained (25) students, the other was as an experimental consisted of (27) students. Study results showed statistical significant differences among students of experimental group’s averages (taught by using web quest), and among students of control group (taught by traditional method), in the test of California critical thinking skills in favor of experimental group. In light of precedent results, researcher has brought out some recommendations such as: using web quest as a modern teaching strategy providing secure setting for the use of internet in educational process, and help in the development of learners’ critical thinking.
