A1 أبو عيطة، جوهرة درويش A2 الخرابشة، بنان عبد الرحمن AB This study aims to investigate the impact of e-learning and blended learning on scientific thinking, academic achievement, and retention of learning. The sample of the study consists of two female-student classes of the tenth grade (52 students) at the Jordanian Private Schools in the Capital Amman in the academic year 2016\2017.The sample is divided into two sections. The first section is taught by using only interactive e-learning method and consists of (26) students. The second section is taught by using blended learning (interactive e-learning program as well as face to face) and consists of (26) students. The semi-experimental analysis is used to achieve the objectives of the study. A scientific thinking scale is applied, and an academic achievement test (classification unit) is designed by the researchers. Follow up pre-post tests are applied on both groups. The study results show that there are statistically significant differences in scientific thinking, academic achievement, and retention of learning in favor of blended learning group.
