A1 أبو عراد، صالح بن علي A2 غنوم، أحمد عبد الكريم AB This research aims at knowing the educational role of Islamic Literature in facing the phenomena of terrorism and achieving the safety of Islamic (Muslim) society through answering the following questions: (1) what is meant by Islamic Literature? What are its most distinguished general educational objectives? (2) What are the most distinguished characteristics of Islamic literature and its educational significance? (3) What is the educational role of Islamic literature in facing the phenomena of terrorism and achieving the safety of Muslim society? The researchers used the analytical descriptive curriculum that depends on describing the phenomenon analyzing and interpreting it and then reaching the required conclusions. The study found that the Islamic literature is an expressive means of one’s thought and behavior because literal word has educational objectives, characteristics and reflections that can contribute in increasing the effective role in life. When it is used in good and beneficial for development it is with positive role. It is in the same time with negative role if it is used for evil through what it can perform as an essential role in forming public opinion or directing it to different social and national cases. As to the most distinguished educational roles of Islamic literature in facing the phenomena of terrorism, they are represented in: Feeling the responsibility and honesty of “word”, pushing enthusiasm, registering the mortal situations in the lives of individuals and societies, publishing the culture of safety in the society working for positive change in the lives of individuals and societies, preparing the individuals of the society to face the contemporary and future challenges. The research concluded with a number of related results and recommendations.
