A1 الدباس، راشد بن عبد الرحمن A2 الحسين، عبد الكريم حسين AB The study aimed to investigate special education teachers’ perspectives regarding the use of social stories (SS) with their students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and the relation of the perspectives with a number of variables. This study used a descriptive approach by employing a survey to collect the data. The study sample consisted of 344 special education teachers. The findings of the study indicate that the participants, in general, felt positively about using SS. Additionally, the findings showed that there are significant differences among the participants’ perspectives toward using SS with the students with ASD based on academic degree variable for those who hold Master’s degree. The results indicate there are significant differences based on the variable of prior training on using SS for those who have not had prior training. As well, the results showed that participants who have prior use of SS have more positive perspectives compared to others who have not used SS. However, the results pointed out that there are no significant differences across the participants’ perspectives based on variable of gender and variable of teaching experience. Based on the findings, recommendations are provided for improving the use of SS with those students.
