A1 أبو الفول، عرفات رافع خالد A2 أبو لوم، خالد محمد A2 الدولات، عدنان سالم A2 المومني، إبراهيم عبد الله A2 الخوالدة، سالم عبد العزيز AB This study aimed to investigate the effect of an instructional program based on independent investigation skills on practical work performance and scientific inclinations in biology among 1st scientific secondary students in Jordan. The study sample consisted of (51) students, from 1st scientific secondary students, selected intentionally from a public school in Irbid Gasapa directorate of education. The study sample assigned randomly into two groups: experimental group of (26) students who studied through an instructional program based on independent investigation skills, and the control group of (25) students, who studied through using conventional method. In order to provide answers to the study question, the researchers used practical performance scale and Scientific Inclinations scale; the validity and reliability of the instruments were verified using suitable educational and statistical methods. The findings of the study shows statistical significant differences in the practical performance and Scientific Inclinations in biology that are attributed to the experimental group.
