A1 Gheith, Asmaa Ghanem A2 Mostafa, Ramadan Farid A2 Abd Elmenam, Mai ahmed El-said AB The study aims to identify the necessary domains, standards and indicators in which EFL students-teachers will have to demonstrate during their teaching practice; to identify the suitable tasks for EFL students- teachers, October 6 University to help them identify teaching tasks and demonstrate them; to design a program based on TBLA for developing university student- teacher’s performance in teaching the English language and finally to measure the effect of the suggested program based on task-based leaning approach on developing university student- teachers’ performance. The study followed the one pre- post experimental group design in which only in one experimental group was used in the implementation process. The researchers used the quasi-experimental method for examining the effect of the proposed program on developing student- teachers’ performance in teaching the English language. The findings showed that the students-teachers achieved tangible progress in their teaching performance after the implementation of the program as compared to their teaching performance before the program application. These findings proved the large effect of the proposed program on developing the 3rd year university student- teachers’ performance in teaching the English language and teaching performance indicators as well. In light of these findings, a series of recommendations were presented.
