A1 المزيد، لينا سالم عبد الله A2 السميري، لطيفة صالح محمد AB This study investigates whether the lately developed text-book of Health and Women Education, which is currently taught to first grade secondary female students in Saudi Arabia, is meeting its intended educational goals. This is approached through a quantitative analysis of the text-book in light of the general educational goals. The researcher followed a descriptive analytical method and prepares the content analysis form, and checks its validity, to analyze the content of the lately developed text-book, which taught in 2011-2012. The research comes up with the following conclusions the frequency of the general educational goals from 3 to 206, Where the total repetition of general educational goals in the content of the book of education health and femininity (1640) with a percentage of 0.18% to 12.56%. The highest frequency is devoted to goal No. 8, which deals with students’ acquaintance of the main categories of nutrition such as proteins, starch, etc.” Where it was repeated (206) by (12.56%). goal No. 2, which deals with “female students Familiarity with the noble goals which health and women course seeks to achieve for society” Where it was repeated (3) by (0.18%). And has the lowest frequency. Findings indicate that there is a goal that has not been achieved, scoring zero value, despite its great importance. This goal is goal No.3 which states "female student’s appreciation of the significance of health and women education course among other school courses". Based on the findings, the study recommends revising the content of textbook of Health and Women Education for first grade secondary female students in Saudi Arabia. This task has to be taken by the officials in charge of developing home economics curricula. This process of revising aims to revise the objectives that have not been achieved yet. Indeed, it is equally important that authors of such a textbook shall come from different cultural backgrounds relevant to the variant topics addressed in this textbook and in family education texts in general. The intended target is to include the educational objectives in the content of the textbook in a comprehensive and balanced manner. Moreover, the study recommends conducting a similar study to investigate realization of the educational objectives in the contents of textbooks on home economics and family education in both the intermediate and secondary stages. Such study shall be supplemented with an evaluation of the pedagogical method followed by female teachers in addressing health and women education towards achievement of the general education goals. Le chercheur a également suivi l'approche descriptive analytique et préparé une fiche d'analyse dont la validité et la fiabilité ont été vérifiées. Le contenu du manuel de cours a été analysé pour l'année 2011-2012. Les résultats ont montré que les objectifs éducatifs généraux dans le contenu du livre allaient de (3 à 206) et que le pourcentage de redoublements était compris entre (0,18% et 12,56%). Les objectifs les plus élevés étaient le numéro 8: Connaître l’importance des principaux aliments tels que les protéines, les féculents, etc. Le moins répétitif est le numéro d'objectif (2): la définition de l'éduqué sur les nobles objectifs que la santé et le féminisme cherchent à atteindre dans la société. Alors que les résultats ont montré qu’il existe un objectif non atteint (3): Connaître l’importance de l’éducation pour la santé et de la féminité dans différents domaines.
