A1 آل سالم، علي بن يحيى AB This study aimed at analyzing the learning activities in the activity books associated with the social and national studies curriculum in intermediate schools in light of the developed Bloom’s Taxonomy of the cognitive domain. This domain consists of two themes which are knowledge and cognitive processes. To achieve the objective of the study, the researcher designed an instrument according to Bloom’s Developed Taxonomy of cognitive domain, to analyze the learning activities in the associated activity books using the descriptive method that based on content analysis approach. The population of the study was represented by all learning activities included in the associated activity books which were amounted to (630) activities. The study findings indicated that the learning activities in the activity book associated with the social and national studies curriculum of the first intermediate grade amounted to (230) activities. The learning activities in the activity book associated with the social and national studies curriculum of the second intermediate grade amounted to (190) activities. The learning activities in the activity book associated with the social and national studies curriculum of the third intermediate grade amounted to (210) activities. These activities were distributed in different cognitive levels according to Bloom’s Developed Taxonomy with its two themes (knowledge and cognitive processes), but in varying and unbalanced proportions.
