A1 حسن، رمضان علي AB The current research aimed at identifying the effectiveness of a training program based on positive thinking for developing perceived self-efficacy and its effect on undergraduates' cognitive beliefs. The following tools were used: cognitive beliefs scale by Wang et al., 2013, adapted by Hassan 2017; perceived self-efficacy scale by the researcher; and the training program by the researcher. Research sample included (60) undergraduates at the third grade in faculty of education, Beni-Suef University; divided into experimental group (n=30) and control group (n=30). Research results revealed; significant differences between score means of the experimental group and the control group in the post test of perceived self-efficacy in favor of the experimental group, significant differences between score means of pre and post test of the experimental group in perceived self-efficacy in favor of the post test, non significant differences for the experimental group between post and follow up test of perceived self-efficacy, significant differences between score means of the experimental group and the control group in the post test of cognitive beliefs in favor of the experimental group, significant differences between score means of pre and post test of the experimental group in cognitive beliefs in favor of the post test, and non significant differences for the experimental group between post and follow up test of cognitive beliefs.
