A1 السليحات، ملوح مفضي AB This study aims at identifying the degree of the faculty members' understanding in the Jordanian universities of the sources of intellectual terrorism, and the effect of number of variables on the degree of their perspective on these sources. To achieve the study aim, the researcher developed a four dimensions questionnaire consisting of 61 items. This instrument was completed by faculty members from three governmental Jordanian universities. The study utilized the descriptive approach. Results revealed that the degree of perception of the sources of intellectual terrorism among academic staff was high. The most common source of the intellectual extremism was the political source. There were no significant statistical differences between the study variables: gender, type of college, and academic rank. The study recommended to take care from all sources of intellectual extremism particularly those political ones, since they are the most important sources for intellectual extremism.
