A1 الأفندي، إسماعيل محمد AB This study aimed to identify the obstacles facing teachers to conduct procedural research in the governmental (public) schools in Bethlehem from the point of view of teachers as well as to investigate the influence of the independent variables: gender, years of experience, qualifications, and the location of school. The researcher used the descriptive analytical method. The study population consisted of all 2300 teachers of public schools in Bethlehem Governorate. The sample was chosen by cluster method. It consisted of 216 teachers and the researcher used a questionnaire to test the obstacles facing teachers to conduct procedural research. The questionnaire consisted of 35 statements. Three dimensions: personal obstacles, administrative and school obstacles, and academic obstacles were covered. The results showed that the obstacles are medium. The order of the obstacles patterns from point of view of teachers was: personal obstacles then administrative and school obstacles, finally, academic obstacles. The results also showed that there were statistical differences towards obstacles to the variable of gender in favor of males. Also, the study showed that there were no statistical differences due to the variable of qualifications. The variable of years of experience and the variable of school location.
