AB This research aimed to propose a strategy to develop the performance of the directorate of the Education offices and their assistants in Saudi Arabia in the light of contemporary educational trends. The researcher has used the developmental survey method. and to collect data for the research was selected random sample of the supervision and directorates departments and the supervisors working in the education offices in Saudi of (460) supervisor, were distributed to study them a tool which consisted of (79) item in seven scales: educational work values and ethics, administrative empowerment, making decisions, humans resources management, strategic planning, communicating with and serving community, continuous development and enhancement. The research results showed that the performance of directorate of the Education offices and their assistants was high regarding educational work values and ethics, administrative empowerment while it was moderate for the other scales, based upon the results the researcher developed an instrument to develop the performance of directorate of the Education offices and their assistants in Saudi Arabia in the light of contemporary educational trends.
