A2 فارح، عبد اللطيف A2 العبزوزي، ربيع AB The study aimed to investigate the differences between memorization of the Koran and academic achievement development among middle school pupils, between pupils who memorized the Koran and who do not, according to gender variable. The study adopted the descriptive causal- comparative approach. The current study used pupils' records of academic results. This tool was implemented on a sample of 320 middle school pupils (males, females) from the city of El oued. After statistical analysis of the study, data resulted in the following findings: 1) There were statistically significant differences at the level of significance 0.01 in academic achievement development among pupils of middle school stage between the pupils who memorized the Koran and who do not in favor of pupils who memorized the Koran. 2) There were statistically significant differences at the level of significance 0.01 between males and females who memorized the Koran in academic achievement development in favor of females. 3)There were no statistically significant differences between males and females who do not memorize the Koran in academic achievement development.
