AB The study aimed at building a proposed strategy for teaching Arabic poetry at college stage in the light of some linguistic trends, using analytical descriptive methodology; to achieve the study goal, researcher constructed a questionnaire to identify the most significant linguistic trends that can be used in teaching Arabic poetry, he also constructed a questionnaire to identify the actual reality of the strategies of teaching Arabic poetry at college stage from the perspective of the faculty members, and another questionnaire from the perspective of students, In this light, a general framework for the proposed strategy was prepared. The study was conducted on a random sample of 14 members of the faculty of Arabic language department at Taif University, in addition to 81 students from the department. The results revealed a set of linguistic trends that could be used in teaching Arabic poetry. The reality of the actual use of strategies for teaching Arabic poetry in general was low from the point of view of students and faculty members. It was also possible to identify the proposed strategy for teaching Arabic poetry with its stages and executive steps for undergraduate students. The study also made a number of relevant recommendations and proposals.
