AB The current research aimed to identify the effect of social media tools in developing the skills of producing learning software among students of the Educational Diploma program at Taibah University and the attitudes towards it. The quasi-experimental method has been used. The sample of the study consisted of 89 female students from the Faculty of Education at the University of Taibah of the academic year 1436/1437, corresponding to 2015/2016 where they were selected purposefully. They were randomly divided into two groups: experimental group which consisted of )48( Students, who learned a production unit of educational software skills through social media tools, and control group which consisted of )41( students, who learned the same unit in the normal way. The measuring tools used in the study consisted of a note-card and a scale for measuring the direction of attitudes. The results of the study showed that there were statistically significant differences between the average performance of the study sample in the two groups and in favor of the experimental group. Also there were statistical significant differences on a note-card experiment, before and after the experiment. And the attitudes of the students of the experimental group were highly significant.
